Online services are providing a customer/consumer the facility to apply for electricity connection through online. Also the Customer can avail the services of application online for Change of Name, Change of Category and Change of load. |
2) How to apply? |
Click on All Online Services including New Services including New Power Connections, Change of Load, Name and Category. |
3) What is required while filling the form? |
Mobile No. to get registered, Email ID, Aadhaar Card No., Neighbouring CA. No. are mandatory while filling in the form for New Connection and all other Applicants Connection details. |
4) Are there any documents to be submitted on line for New Connection? |
Yes, for new Connection you need to have, Passport Size photo in JPG format, ID Proof, Proof of ownership, proof of current address, Photo of installation, wiring contractors completion test report and Diagram if ready, for New connection all documents in PDF format not exceeding 2MB. Only proof of ownership document size upto 5 MB. |
5) Are there any documents to be submitted on line for Change of Name? |
Yes, for Change of Name you need to have, Passport Size photo in JPG format, ID Proof, Proof of ownership, Photo of installation, Affidavit, No Objection Certificate from the existing previous Consumer if available/possible, Registered deed /Succession deed, Copy of Latest Paid Bill. |
6) Are there any documents to be submitted on line for Change of Category? |
Yes, for Change of Category you need to have, Passport Size photo in JPG format, Resolution for authorised signatory, Work completion certificate from the licensed Electrical contractor, Photo of installation, ID Proof, Proof of ownership, Latest bill paid, Document from competent Authority for Authority for Applied Category. |
7) Are there any charges/fees for these services? |

For New Connection Form Fee: Rs.50/- and Processing Fee: Rs.100/-
For Change of Name Form Fee: Rs.100/- and Processing Fee: Rs. 100/-
For Change of Category Form Fee: Rs.50/- and Processing Fee: Rs.100/-
For Change of Load Form Fee: Rs.50/- and Processing Fee: Rs.100/- |
8) How do I Know when to pay? |
SMS will be sent to your registered Mobile no. with the Application No and Transaction ID and the Amount of Fees to be paid. |
9) How to make the payment of the Form Fee and Processing Fee? |
Click on Quick Pay option and choose the type of service New connection/Change of Name /Change of Load/Change of Category/Shifting of Meter Or Pay at the Department Cash Counter. |
10) How do I know that payment of fess is done? |
You will receive SMS on your registered mobile no. |
11) What should I to do after filling in the Online Application form? |
You will receive SMS a Notification No. on your registered mobile. You can track the status of your application process on our website by entering the Notification no. which starts with 2000…. Series. |
12) What is the next step after receiving the Notification No.? |
You will receive SMS and email to visit the office along with the original copies uploaded for verification of the documents. |
13) After visit to office and verification of documents what next? |
SMS and email will be sent regarding visit of site where the connection is to be released for inspection purpose by the Departmental official. |
14) After site Visit what is next? |
Based on the inspection of sit. Feasibility for releasing connection SMS and email will be sent to make the payment of service connection charges. If not shortcoming SMS and mail will be sent. |
15) On payment of the service connection charges will I get electric connection? |
Yes, you will receive two SMS and two emails
1. intimation of realising of connection and
2. Connection released. And Subsequently you will receive your electricity bill. |
